31.2- I think that in this chapter Beowulf is celebrated and congratulated a lot for helping the Danes. I think that it is cool that he is getting praised for it.

Alliteration- death in the dark
boast of a better sword

Kenning- protector of his people

Chapters- 17-20
17.1 In this chapter they talk about the celebration in Beowulf's name. There are singers singing of what happened with beautiful melodies. The singer ended the song with the Reveane of Hengest and the Return to Denmark.

17.2 The mother is trying to help save her children, so she saves her sons. That is really cheesy though. She just wants her sons safe.

18.1 They are still talking about the celebration and the gifts given to Beowulf. Then she asks Beowulf once again to protect her sons. It gives omens of death to the soldiers.

18.2 The people are a war like people so they must always be wary of strangers.

19.1 Grendel's mother mourns over her son's death,. She gets even by taking one solider, the one that is close to Beowulf. The soldiers are sent to get revenge, then the king is in anguish over his friend.

19.2 Where did they find out where Grendal’s mother lives? This is really unrealistic. They should work on that.
20.1 Beowulf takes on the task of killing Grendal's mother.

20.2 He is really mean going and killing some mother. But if has got to do it, then he needs to! Is he ok with this here?

Chapter 13-16

Chapter 16.1 there are way too many chapters of boasting It seems kind of over done, but maybe their trying to foreshadow something that is going to happen. Alliteration: "Hrothgar's hall resounded with the harp's high call"

Chapter 14.1"Let God be thanked!” really cool about this, is that there is some sort of religion forced upon the readers in this novel. It seems he didn't do research on what their religion was, or just didn't care.Alliteration: Pg. 53: "Preserve this passionate peace"

Chapter 13.1 The warriors are celebrating and feasting after grendel's defeat, as he drags his lonely dying body away. The warriors are happy and believe the worst is over
Chapter 13.2: I will bet my life that something is going to happen to the firl at the lake. She is going to be ruined. Alliteration: "Hermod's heart had been hollowed"

I agree with this quote. I think every man should uphold his morals and everything he goes by including honesty no matter what. If it would help all men should some how try to be cohesive and stay together with everything!

Chapters 1-15
Chapter 1.1- The kingdom goes through many followers and leaders but ends up with the great Hrothgar. He makes soldiers start to build the great hall Herot, but a demon Grendal is feared by all who goes into the hall.

Chapter1.2-
What’s with the music? Why does it seem to be painful for Grendal? This is kind of weird, especially with me being a musician. Well its cool though.

Chapter2.1- This chapter was cool, but it didn’t quite make sense to me. There was transferring from a small demon or evil to a larger or greater evil. What’s with that? Wow!

Chapter.2.2-
This one is kind of cool too. The demonic fights and wars is really cool. I hope that they have more of this later on in the chapter. I think that their might be a really large war useing demonic wars.

Chapter 6.1 – The Danes came in contact with the Greats. They both were really cool with each other being there so they welcomed each other. Then the most conceded one, started boasting about his winnings and awards.

Chapter 6.2- Hrothgar says he’s going to wait patiently for Grendal and then kill him with his own hands. He thinks that everyone will love him and be on his side of the battle.

Chapter 7.1- This is a flashback of how his life was before. Then finally the story brings him to life now in the present.

Chapter 7.2- The “high ups” are telling people and scaring them by telling then that he attacks by night and kills all who sleeps there at the hall. The men and soldiers were kind of scared already, but this made them even more scared!

Chapter 8.1- Beowulf was teased and picked on in this section. He had done some dare with Brecca way back in the past, and the only reason why he won, was because he got lucky. Beowulf gets the teasers back by just giving them a verbal smack in the face. He speaks and argues his points very well.

Chapter 8.2- Beowulf can’t stop bragging about his great self. He tells this magnificent story in how he swims in the seas and defeats the sea monsters. He his hands and sword, that’s all. He has one of the greatest bragging problems that I know. And I thought Mr. Rounds was bad!

Chapter 9.1- The kind during the time ordered the soldiers and heroes who fought the night killer in the hall to be by his side at all times. The wanted all things to be good for him and his kingdom. There was also a woman who wanted him to look after her children, and they agreed to!

Chapter 9.2- So the soldiers finally accepted and stay by the kings side, and protected him during all of his battles whether small or large. This was great for the king.

Chapter 10.1- The was greatly happy and felt extremely safe with all of the warriors and soldiers right there beside him. The king let the men go and fight off the crazy monster in the hall where they all were to be waiting for him.

Chapter10.2 I think the main thing that everyone who is reading the book, is that who is going to kill the monster. I think I want the warrior Beowulf to just slam down and just go off on him, but it’s not my call.

Chapter 11.1
- Grendel goes to Herot to find soldiers there and he starts to eat them. This is really cool and gross at the same time. Then Beowulf gets up and takes Grendel's arm and starts to break it. They fought for a long time then Grendel pulled away from Beowulf and runs back to his marsh. Then he hangs his arm on the rafters so everyone could see.

Chapter 11.2- The significance of this chapter is that Beowulf kills Grendel and is praised. His boasting comes up to be true.

Alliterations- sleeping warriors, stuffed with young soldiers
Kennings- Shepard of evil, guardian of death

This is a very fervent quote. To me it seems to that the author is saying that man is not on its best behavior or even close sometimes, because the law is there to keep them on the good side. There are many who are on this side of the spectrum.

This quote is really weird. It makes sense, but it’s just not deep enough for me. It is some kind of deep, with being the amazement of the highest thing ever, the gods. If you need some help with finding a deep quote, give me a holler, it would make me ecstatic to do it for you.

This is really wired for someone to say as a quote. For this author to truly hate or dislike someone, because they would rather not take the risk of jumping out of their comfort zone, by revealing some things that are personal to them which they hold deep down in their heart. So many people are really nosy or circumvent, and for most, this doesn’t help anything at all.

This quote easily means that if you understand and truly know that you know nothing really at all, you’re truly intelligent. Because there are many people who are much conceded and say by using words and phrases that are not cerebral at all. This quote is really great and kind of deep.

To me this quote means to not proclaim, or display evil with evil. Don’t contribute to the overwhelming conception of the ones who indefinitely show and produce evil. In one way this quote reminds me as some sort of biblical reference or deffinition. It seems to have the same focus, or perception of the bible.
